Slowpitch scoring is baseball notation applied to a friendlier game: seven innings, ten or eleven in the field depending on the league, everyone bats, home runs come in bunches, and half the league has a rule limiting them. The book that handles it needs a longer lineup and a shorter grid, which is exactly what a 7-inning scorecard with an open-ended batting order gives you.
Eleven batters, thirteen batters, the guy who showed up in the third inning. Add them to the order as they arrive.
Start the scorecard at 7 innings. If the game hits the time limit in the 6th, mark it final and go get food.
Season batting averages calculate themselves from the plays you scored. The .600 claim gets confirmed or buried.
Whoever is not in the field keeps the book. It is a website, so it works on any phone in the dugout, no installs required.
Walks are rare and strikeouts are embarrassing, so most boxes are balls in play: F7, 6-3, 1B, and the occasional 2B that was really a single plus bad defense. Score what the play was worth, not what it looked like off the bat.
Home run limit leagues: once the team hits the cap, extra homers are outs by rule. Score them as outs with a note, or the runs will not reconcile with the scoreboard.
